Hello, everyone!
I apologize for using a super old account to do this, but I would really like your help! I am currently in talks with a Japanese company about creating a plus size gothic lolita clothing line, and I would love some feedback in the form of a survey to show them that there is a strong interest here for clothes like this. I also created the survey to give them an idea of what we'd like to see made and what the trends are. If you could help me out by taking a minute to fill out this 10 question survey and/or sharing it with any friends you have that fit the demographic, I would really, really appreciate it.

Here is the link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2DBRSV7

EDIT: It's been brought to my attention via multiple sources that the pictures I've chosen (thoughtlessly) have caused much concern and unhappiness. So in order to avoid this, I'm switching all the surveys to a text version that will hopefully get me the answers I want without causing concern and upset. I do apologize for any offense or anger that my poorly chosen pictures caused. I am honestly very sorry, and I hope now the focus can be on the clothing and on my intentions rather than the pictures. Thank you for your feedback!

If this isn't an appropriate post for this community, I'm very sorry, and I'll take it down. Thank you so much for any help you can give me!

I started to take the survey, but I am not from US, so I do not know my American clothing sizes for both dresses and shoes.
Could you link to a size chart with centimeter measurements for bust and waist. And maybe a shoe size conversion chart...?

Question 8 about prize range, would it be for one item? And a big like dress or a small like accessory? Or is it money spent in a month?

The example pictures surprised me because for me only 2 of 8 are lolita. Aren't you planing a lolita clothes line? The pictures look like Western punk x goth...

Hi!

Sorry about that! An oversight on my part!

Here's a link to a shoe size conversion chart: https://manoftoday.files.wordpress.com/2007/02/windowslivewriterinternationalshoesizeconversionchartscon-10249image02.png

Here's a link to a clothing size conversion chart: http://f.tqn.com/y/golondon/1/S/2/G/0/-/womens-clothes.JPG

As far as the L, XL, etc one, I can't really find a conversion chart, but I guess based on the number size one, maybe you can make a guess. Or just skip that one if not.

For the price range, think about it like for one item. What would you be willing to spend on a piece of clothing (dress, shirt, skirt). I know that obviously people are going to spend more on dresses than shirts, but I just want to try and find out people's budgets/expectations on prices.

Thanks for responding and thanks for taking the survey!

You're welcome! Thanks for taking the survey!

I forgot to answer one of your earlier questions about whether the line is lolita or not so I'll do so now! It's not going to be purely just lolita. It will probably have a mix of goth/punk and lolita influences to incorporate more consumers. Part of the reason for survey is gauge what sort of styles garner the most interest! So I am trying to share on both lolita focused sites and more jrock fashion sites as well, but I'm having a harder time tracking the latter kind down. If you know of anything, please let me know!

Just to butt in here. If you are going for Lolita inspired jrock, I would find it totally awesome if instead of mixing the styles up, you had a load of jrock stuff that was vaguely purist for jrock fans and one or two Lolita dresses that were really nicely done authentic quality rather than loads of crossover stuff. Like Restyle tries to rather than Hot Topic to reference Western Brands. That would (to me anyway) be more useful than lots of crossover. Sorry to have so many opinions here!

Yes, I can definitely understand that point of view! I don't know how much influence I'm going to get to have as far as design, but I will definitely pass this along. I would also like to see less crossover and more variety of both styles.

Don't apologize for having opinions! This is what market research is all about! Thank you so much!
